Illustration & Brand Building: COTELAC, "Brecht Evens" for a limited edition dress

Born in 1986, Brecht Evens is a cartoonist and illustrator living in Ghent, Belgium. He studied Illustration at Sint-Lucas Beeldende Kunst Gent.

He was awarded "Prix de l'Audace" at Angoulême Festival for Les Noceurs (The Wrong Place) & nominated for a prestigious Eisner Award for Best Painter/Multimedia artist for The Wrong Place.

Each season, Cotélac supports emerging artists by asking a young artist to provide his own view of the brand.

As stated by Cotelac, "the collaboration between Cotélac and Brecht Evens arose quite naturally: the painstaking care applied to the motif and the delicacy of the design of the silhouettes, genuine signature elements of the company, have found an echo in the illustrator’s works. A dialogue thus commenced between Cotélac’s designer and this prodigy to pursue collaboration on garments : Raphaëlle Cavalli has therefore designed three brand new pieces, printed with the original motif designed by Brecht Evens."

This collaboration between Cotélac and this prodigious author, will give birth to a unique dress, designed by Raphaelle Cavalli and printed with original designs conceived by Brecht Evens, which will see its debut in autumn 2013.
